        Arrival at the Hospital:

The morning started much different than our previous trip to the hospital with our first baby, Carter. I got a good night’s sleep, a nice bowl of oatmeal, a warm shower, had time to update playlists on my iPod, and finished packing my hospital bag.

        AFTON SAYS:
We had the all American experience this afternoon. Carter was home from daycare since it's Veteran's day and of course Clayton was home, too. About 3pm the 3 of us went to the super center walmart in gilroy to get groceries for us, groceries for the Thanksgiving Ward Party

        All,

Everything is going well at the NorCal branch of the Bolz tribe. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Utah last week, even though I was completely exhausted by the end of it. I learned a couple things on that trip.

        1) I do have allergies.

        All,
The big news from our side is the gender of #2. At this point I think all of you already know, but for thoroughness I’ll announce it once again – It’s a boy! We’re really excited about the thought of Carter having a little playmate to match his energy.
        Besides that

After a long, winter blogging hybernation, we have emerged! Things are going well in the Bolz household. In March Carter celebrated his first birthday (see gallery pics). Our birthday boy was mostly puzzled by all of the orange balloons (a la basketball theme) and people milling about.

        Hello Everyone,

First of all I want to welcome Lydia into mortality. I can't wait to see her. Carter can't wait either. Get well Jennifer. After watching Afton go through labor only confirmed, once again, my gr

We've been pretty busy in the daily grind of things. We're both working full time, Clayton is still working with the start up (an additional 20 hrs a week). I take care of Carter whi

This last month is full of new updates for the Clayton, Afton, and Carter family. We moved into our new home in the neighboring city of San Jose. The house is located about 8 blocks from eBay
headquarters where I work. My commute is literally 5-8 minutes! I
        love it. I like to

So... one of our new nicknames for Baby Carter is the "Keebler Elf." Maybe it has something to do with his ears sticking slightly out and his bald head, but we like to joke that he looks like one of the little tree folk that make fudge striped cookies and crackers all day. :)

I keep saying that I feel like the mole who's just coming out of the hole and beginning to see the light of day again! Baby Carter is 4 weeks old today and I'm just starting to get out and about and feel like I'm finally figuring some of this mothering "stuff" out. Nursing i

        Hello everyone -

So - I did B&B during my first trimester, and an original musical revue called, STOPTIME! during my second trimester. Luckily - no shows during the third trimester as I'm certainly quite large now and barely waddling about. I'm feeling like I have so much to

So I know we're pretty shameful about keeping the blog entries up-to-date. Basically I just wrapped up a production of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST and now we're gearing up to go on our 'Babymoon' - a cruise from Southern Cali down to Mexico. I'm personal

Clayton and I have been pretty busy the last couple of months working, doing side projects, and performing together in a darling show called, “Wonderful Town.” In the show I play one of the sisters, Eileen, and Clayton plays the bass guitar in the orchestra – his new bass guitar I should add!

Alright everyone, last Christmas I got a video camera (Thanks Mike and Karen) and we put it to some good use during our trip. I'm in no way a "professional" yet, but I'm working at it. We wanted to share some of our video so I decided to do a little editing and throw it out on

Some people think of the Rose Parade on New Years Day. For me the first day of year means two things: new year's resolution and College Bowl Games. This year I watched a little bit of the Auburn and Nebraska game but quickly moved on to something else –I didn’t really care about that ga
